COVID-19 Policy

We are confident at this time that attendees will be able to travel to and attend the conference safely. Please review the statement by our primary venue, the Vancouver Conference & Convention Centre: Meeting Again, Safely.

How we will make a decision regarding the event if COVID is still a factor?

  • Our goal, if it comes to it, will be to make the decision to cancel, postpone, or move the event online as early as possible. We’ll watch the situation closely throughout the summer.

  • We won’t proceed with an in-person event if we feel we can’t hold it safely and provide a rich experience, and will err on the side of caution in making any decision.

  • We will cancel the even outright as a last result, if we cannot reschedule the event within a reasonable time frame, or determine that moving online is not generally supported by participants and stakeholders.

Cancelling or Postponing — for Attendees

  • If the event is postponed, we will offer refunds for a limited period of time before reverting to our standard refund policy, which is detailed on your ticket.

  • If the event is cancelled, we will issue refunds.

  • We will adhere to Eventbrite’s Refund requirements for events cancelled due to COVID-19 for postponing or cancelling the event.

Cancelling or Postponing — for Exhibitors & Sponsors

  • Payments by credit card incur a roughly 3% transaction fee. Our credit card processor (Stripe) does not refund that fee regardless of whether we issue refunds. If we cancel the event your payments will be refunded less the exact transaction fee.

  • You will be provided the option to maintain your booking even if the event is postponed until a similar time in 2022. Payments made by cheque or bank transfer will be fully refunded if requested.

  • Sponsors will given the opportunity to maintain their sponsorship and will be included as ADC organizational sponsors on the main artisandistillers.ca website, as well as being listed as sponsors of the conference.

Going Virtual – For All Participants & Stakeholders

  • ADC reserves the right to move the conference and trade show to a virtual space, and may do so in consultation with Participants & Exhibitors, and Sponsors

  • If this decision is made, all paid stakeholders will be issued partial refunds to reflect the lower costs of operating the event (to be determined when this decision in made).
